I like her hat!
She was a very confident young woman. That’s a map and she is going kayaking around Orcas Island. It is the largest of the San Juan’s and very arty and hippy… lots of farmland.
I don’t think I would feel safe in a kayak with all the whales around!
Well I think it would be kind of scary, but exhilarating at the same time. I know people who were kayaking on the west side of the island… that’s the salmon run that the whales go back and forth on… and have all of a sudden been surrounded by Orcas. The whales were very gentle and friendly. Some amazing photos. If you come, Betty, bring Maggie to protect you.
Maggie is afraid of her own shadow! I have never had a boxer so timid. She will shake and whine on July 4th because she can’t stand fireworks. I could just imagine her seeing a killer whale, she would probably end up in a doggy psychiatric hospital! 😆 Happy to say this is her only fault, she loves everyone, but does have a mean sounding bark if she hears a noise outside (except fireworks). She truly is a very loving dog and very smart. I am truly blessed.
I need to bring my Yak up and do the same.
If you Yak around my Island you may be with the whales, if you get lucky.
What if each day she wanders with the paddle and map hoping for a boat. In the evening she returns home telling herself, “Maybe tomorrow.”
Ha… that’s a good one!
